We spent 4 days in Clearwater Marina, mostly to hunker down in the cold and windy weather. We were still traveling with our friends on Goin South, Geoff and Grace.

We dingied over to a small island before going to Clearwater where there were lots of nice shells

We finally got a picture of Suzanne and me in front of a Christmas Tree.

We caught up with several other loopers in Clearwater. Which is a normal thing, to see people you have met at other stops and share cocktails.
We also caught up with a couple that just completed their loop, who lived close by, for lunch in Tarpon Springs. After lunch they took us shopping for groceries in their car (weird ridding in a car after a boat for a while).
Tarpon Springs is a Greek settled city, that is known as the sponge capital of the world!

Greek town there is interesting and filled with Great Greek restaurants. And of course there were more great sunsets!

New Year’s Eve the loopers organized a potluck at the Harbor office. Everyone brought great food to share!! Made it to Loopers Midnight (2100 hours) before the leftovers were divided and packed and all went back to their boats.
Our next port of call was supposed to be St Pete on New Year’s Day, but fate intervened. 1st the water the Clearwater Marina pump out was turned off so we were delayed an hour, then at Madeira Beach we managed to find an unmarked sand bar. Took us awhile to get off.
We went another hour toward St Pete and dropped anchor for the night. We made it to St Pete the following morning, docked and spent the afternoon having a pleasant lunch with an old colleague of mine, Lisa.

She was kind enough to collect our Amazon packages for us, getting deliveries is always problematic on the loop.

You guys look great. We’re totally envious to see you in sport shirts, shorts and sandals. And you tell a enjoyable story — that’s never dull !

P.S. Lisa doesn’t look that old to me.
So great to hear from you two AND see your beautiful smiles! Thanks so much for sharing your adventures! It looks and sounds like you are having a wonderful time and meeting lots of lovely people. The pix are all gorgeous! (The sunset…WOW!)
Utah is finally getting snow – Brighton reported 25” in 24 this morning! Cottonwood bases are all somewhere in the 60’s – a great improvement over the 30’s (and less) all of December!
Safe travels! Love and hugs
